The operational research and development headquarters is located in the Pingzhen Industrial Park in Taoyuan City (formerly known as the Pingzhen Industrial Zone), actively responding to the net-zero sustainability goals and promoting green procurement for five years. This year, it received the excellence award for the second time, alongside other awarded private enterprises such as TSMC Advanced Packaging and Testing Plant 3, ASE Zhongli Plant, and Micron Technology Taiwan, all of which are leading companies in the semiconductor industry, working together to contribute to sustainability and support the Taoyuan City Government's promotion of green procurement.
The Taoyuan City Environmental Protection Bureau pointed out that the city government promotes green procurement and encourages the priority purchase of environmentally friendly green products. This not only expands the green consumption capacity of Taoyuan City but also promotes enterprises to invest more effort in producing environmentally friendly products. Through economic incentives, it drives environmental protection, allowing economic development and environmental protection to achieve mutually beneficial effects. Based on the results of the green procurement promoted by the Taoyuan City Government in 111, the procurement and use of environmentally friendly products (including office paper, sanitary paper, 3C products, home appliances, etc.) have reduced carbon dioxide emissions by a total of 2,285 metric tons, saved electricity consumption by 4.33 million kilowatt-hours, saved water by 1,583 tons, and reduced tree cutting by 532,194 trees. This not only effectively reduces carbon dioxide emissions but also makes significant contributions and benefits to environmental protection.
The green procurement sustainability plan of Zhonghua Precision Measurement will continue in the future, working together with government authorities and leaders in the semiconductor industry to improve environmental quality, create net-zero cities, and move towards international sustainable development goals.
